We have received word that KaBOOM! selected one of our Play Everywhere Challenge entries, See Saul Bellows, as a contest finalist.
To see all of the finalists or to learn more about the Play Everywhere Challenge, visit the gallery of finalists or the list of finalists organized by state. Out of more than 1,000 entries, KaBOOM! selected 200 finalists to compete for approximately 50 grants ranging from about $5,000 to $50,000. See Saul Bellows is among only nine Massachusetts finalists, which include proposals by MIT’s Media Lab and the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
The Play Everywhere Challenge was developed by KaBOOM! in collaboration with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Target, Playworld, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Total prize distributions will total one million dollars.
With our focus narrowed to this one ambitious project, we are ready to get working on the next stage of the contest. Wish us luck!
